About Us

As the pub became a local favorite in Ireland, Aiden decided to expand his business and take his vision to new heights. In 1955, he made a business trip to London, where he met the love of his life, Cate. Aiden and Cate got married, and he decided to move to London to start a new Irish pub in a cellar in the heart of the city.

The pub was an instant success, and over the years, it evolved into a multi-entertainment center with a distinctly Irish spirit and influence. Aiden’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment where everyone could feel at home was the driving force behind Murphy’s Cellar’s success.

In the 1960s, Murphy’s Cellar became a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Aiden continued to innovate and expand the business, introducing new activities like pool tables and darts, which quickly became fan favorites.

In the 1970s, Murphy’s Cellar underwent a significant renovation, transforming it into the modern entertainment center that we know today. With 12 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, four shuffleboard tables, and three dartboards, Murphy’s Cellar quickly became the go-to spot for fun and games in London.

Today, Murphy’s Cellar continues to embody Aiden Murphy’s vision of Irish hospitality and fun. With a bustling restaurant serving up traditional Irish fare and a lively pub atmosphere, Murphy’s Cellar is a destination for locals and tourists alike. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out with friends, a family-friendly outing, or a corporate event, Murphy’s Cellar has something for everyone.

As we look to the future, we’re committed to continuing Aiden Murphy’s legacy and providing a welcoming environment where everyone can come together to celebrate the spirit of Irish hospitality and fun.
